i can't sleep. its 6.56 and i'm wide awake. it's so boring, and i don't have the strength to get up and have breakfast with the family who's all getting ready for work. I could totally go with my sister today though, she's doing some photoshoot. could be a lot of fun. but then i wouldn't get home since she's leaving for stockholm (with half my wardrobe) straight after it.
so i came home yesterday. after the smoothest 24h flight ever. i packed my things during the day on wednesday, sarah, antonio and matt came to see me of sweet things. then we went to the airport, i checked in (this is where the only bump on the road appeared) but i could only get my boardingpass for sydney-bangkok since that flight was with qantas and then bangkok-helsinki, helsinki-gothenburg was operated by finnair. anyway, i didn't think about it. we had coffee..actually, no sarah had coffee i had a bananabread since i realised i more or less hadn't eaten all day. anticipation i guess. and since there's no bananabread in sweden i had to have one.
well onboard i sat down, the plane was full, but i had an isle seat weehoo. good movies were playing, 500 days of summer - soo good, great soundtrack, the time travellers wife, valentino the last emperor, up, latest harry potter and many more. anyway, i had bought sleeping pills, watched 500 days of summer then took one and slept the whole flight through. i woke up when i was given a timtam though. then we came to bangkok, i had one hour until my transfer flight should leave and i didn't have my boardingpass. great, since the checkin counter closes like an hour before takeoff. so i ran around the airport, went through security twice. they all waved at me the second time and laughed at me when i got an electric shock for the second time.
anyway, when i finally found the finnair counter, there was another poor guy there looking for help. i solved the solution by being extremely annoying i guess, and we could finally go to the gate. the other guy seemed rather impressed with my skills since he'd been standing there for half an hour and nothing had happened, then i came and five minutes later we were on our way to the gate, boardingpasses for both coming flights and all.
i slept through the whole second flight as well, woke up for breakfast - so disguting i couldn't eat a thing (sausage, mashed potatoes, gravy and some other weird stuff). when we came to helsinki i was rather fed up with flying and i was desperate for some coffee. but no no, in finland there's no such thing as being lactose intolerant/sensitive or whatever, so i couldn't have any coffee since they didn't have any soymilk. rude. when i landed there was snow on the ground and freezing.
now im home, i can't sleep. at least its after 7 now, iv'e facebooked with some of the sydney family. today they're celebrating louise's birthday with a bbq in ruschcutters bay. i want to be there, apparently i will since louise is drawing my face on a balloon which she's gonna bring with her all night. great idea i must say.
now i have to find something else to keep me occupied for some time. ooh my mum just woke up. coffee time!!
