no puppy

im sitting in my parents kitchen, drinking tea, with a crazy dog running around my legs. hes so cute and funny. a bit annoying though because he wants my attention all the time, and as everyone know im easily bored if i do the same thing too long. its too long now.

today i bought peanuts and seeds for the birds around here and a really cute little bird-feeder where they can sit and eat in the cherry tree on the patio. now theyll be fit for fight for winter and they wont need to go hungry. i probably went overboard, i bought 4 kg of mixed seeds, 0,5 kg peanuts, 6 talgbollar, some other stuff and the feeder thing. well, if i do something, ill do it properly! no birds will die on my watch. although they have a tendency to do just that since they seem to enjoy flying stratight into our windows, and then crash on the patio and whenever i try to save them they die. every single time. so now i mostly count on them to recover for themselves. seems to be working better than vet-nicole.

now alfonz is craving my attention. hes hurting my legs with his claws.

oh, and louise - no puppy for me :) you know what i mean..

vanilla milkshake

time goes fast in sydney. i just realised that i have to tell my work about my little "break" i need to have from it, since my parents and brother are coming to visit soon... the card shop manager wasn't to excited about my other job and when i told her that i couldn't work certain days in december she gave me a little angry speech. i find it hard to see her taking my other news with a smile. well, what can you do...

anyway. has been happening quite a lot here lately. Cj moved out yesterday and MArcus moved in. :) however, Cj still got heaps of stuff here though but he's coming to get them tonight.. hopefullt not to late.

yesterday i went out for a bit. Josefin took me to this 'white party' which was fun, free drinks which was a plus. after that we went to lounge bar. haven't been there before so that was exciting. didn't stay for long though since i had to walk to wynyard and i didn't wanna risk missing the bus.. so i got home at 11.. i know impressive.


miii god, this was a interesting post. well you can't be perfect all the time. or can you? ...

oh and Josefin and i went to see "where the wild things are" today. it was good.

december 1st

finally december is here!! anyone who knows me, knows how much i love christmas and everything about it!! (apart from janssons frestelse - disgustier food youll have to search for!) so, today was the first episode of the christmas calender on SVT here in Sweden, this year its "Superhero Christmas" with "Supersnällasilversara" and "Stålhenrik" who usually have some kind of childrens show on the telly. i dont know how it is since i didnt get up at 7.15 am to watch but anyway, i cant imagine its that good. i mean, just look at the picture. remember the ones we had when were kids, "Jul i Kapernaum" "Pettson & Findus jul" and "Sunes Jul"?

so, now im sitting in the kitchen, listening to christmas songs and drinking tea, very nice! its sunny outside and cold, it looks like its frost outside so its probably really cold, ill see when i take Alfonz, the dog im taking care of this week for a walk, AND ive had my first gingerbread too, yummy!

yesterday i booked my trip to stockholm!! i cant wait!! im there 10-15 december, its gonna be a blast! ivw got two missions too, one christmas gift for my mom and one for my sister. but thatll go quick to fix. and then i have one demand. having lattes and cinnamon buns at Saturnus. i cant wait! then johanna and me are going out having some fun and im meeting some other friends too, its a tight schedule actually haha but soo much fun!!

i love christmas!

i'm hungry. i will soon make me some breakfast.

monday again, has been a good weekend here in Sydney. saturday was spent at work but also in a park celebrating Petra on her birthday. She had made two awesome cakes! later I went into the city to watch Whitley (and as a good surprise also Deep Sea Arcade and The Brunettes. they were all very good and I danced the night away. after an attempt to meet Josefin i went to the Terrace and fell asleep with a pyramid of stuff on me, thanks guys! woke up without knowing that i had a mayor lazy day in front of me including oportos, pizza and movies.

today i think i'm going to the beach. the weather isn't that good though (as always when you don't work) so we'll just have to see. maybe i'll go into the city and buy some new sheets for my bed. anyway... here are some photos from the weekend.

Friday morning sum up

so, todays been a busy day, ive been running around the city and kungsbacka like a maniac. i started the day of with having billy blue change my mark for typography, theyd given me a pass...but now its all fixed and they changed it to the correct mark, thank you neil!

then i went to the city, tried to get hold of a pair of acne jeans/leggings, "Skins" are they called. but since im not living in stockholm anymore i guess i have to get used to that they get all the best ones, so in gothenburg they only exist in a dark color and not the one i want! but i do have a sister..and shes going up there on monday so making plans...

then i skipped over to monki and changed size on my pu (fake skin) leggings which now suits me perfect! i kind of love them, it sucks that theyll be too wamr to wear when i get back. but sydneys cold too sometimes, well most times these past months. then i went to the bookshop, bought the two last books in the twilight series, im not that thrilled over them, i dont think the writing, the language, is any good. but i read them anyway, i actually like the movies better and that has never happened to me before, (it might have to do with robert pattinson i dont know, but hes gorgeous), well ive ony seen one, but im having my sister watch it today so we can go to the movies on sunday and watch the new one. i also bought my first christmas present, to my grandma (mormor), shes getting i cooking book (original) but she loves the chef, hes on tv, and the book is called "från mormor till medelhavet" (from grandma to the Mediterranean) which i thought suited perfect. well she actually said out loud that she wants it so, there you go!

THEN, i went to kungsbacka and did some grocery shopping for the fam! kind kind kind daughter. on friday rush at that! well well, im taking on the role of housewife more than ever, dinners on the table every day when they comes home, i even make my sister special food, since shes a veggie.

well, thats my day so far! oh, ive tested all our outdoor christmas lights and they work, so now were all set for sunday when they go up! its first advent on sunday!! crazy

thursday, mistaken as wednesday.

so my first day at kikki k (today) went well. the register was super easy to learn and the people there are all very nice. :)

after work i met up with marcus aka mackan who is gonna be our new flatmate here in the palace. we went home to the palace and he had a look at the place and his room. everything is sweeeet and he's moving in the 1st. :) ... we went home to antonios place and made some dinner - hamburgers, very yummy. and for dessert - icecream cake.


btw i'm super excited about the beautiful girls! :D

and Whitley (the band that played before Paolo Nutini) which im seeing this saturday with Mia at the oxford art factory. yippi yay!

the uneventful life of a swede

its been a while since i contributed to the blog, thats because my life her is utterly ordinary and not much is happening. like i explained earlier most of my friends lives abroad, like myself, so when i come home "off season" theres not much happening here. the weather doesnt really do much to encourage anything else than staying indoors - its cold, around 8 degrees, raining and its almost storm every day. i do go for two walks a day though, just to make sure i dont die inside. i look like a loser on my walks, im wearing my huge "mellanstadie jacka" which stays warm down to 40 below 0, leggings, walking shoes and trekking socks sticking up - so much for fashionable here!

anyway, so all ive been doing for the past couple of weeks is being in the city, shopping a bit, celebrating two birthdays and hanging out with the family. weve also managed to book everything for our trip, so ill be back on jan 1, the fam arrives on the 5th, then were staying in sydney til the 12 when were going to melbourne, were driving the great ocean road and then were staying in melbourne til the 17th (shopping here we come), then back to darling sydney until they leave for a wintery sweden on the 21st.

well, i tend to live through louise these days. its happening a bit more in her life as it is now haha, but im kind of happy as it is. i needed a break from everything, so break - here i am!

I almost forgot to tell you! sophie the little sweetheart gave me a very cute little birthday present when we went to watsons bay! :) - a "cute diary" from kikki k. it's very cute,



and it starts the 14th dec so i can soon start to use it :) i've already put a sticker on my birthday and filled in when the beautiful girls plays at coogee bay - which i just purchased a ticket for! :D only 30 dollars. i've been wanting to see them for ages, so if anyone wants to go with me - feel free, cause i prefer not to go alone..

well i'm off to work soon, just gonna make me some lunch. i'm thinking - eggs with "kalles kaviar"

maybe the longest post in the history of the blog.

it's been a couple of nice days her ein sydney. yesterday it was so hot..! 41 degrees. so sophie and i decided to do some tourist stuff. went to manly and took the ferry over to circular quay, took the ferry to watsons bay. arrived at watsons bay - walked passed this seafood restaurant just by the water, gaaah! so much people and so much good food, at least it looked like good food - but what do I know?... wandered to the beach, which is really small and nice, no waves and a little kiosk and some pretty nice beach houses. nicole what do you say - watsons bay beach house?

since it was ridiculously hot we spent a lot of time in the water. went up to a look out with a lighthouse, walked passed a nudity beach and a rehab centre thingy - or at least we think it is - it had a massive fence thing around it, and watsons bay is really nice an relaxing so what else could it be but a rehab.

had a lemon sorbet. ooh and we made awesome sandwiches.


went back to manly and to sophies place where we made an superb spaghetti carbonara. took a shower and went to wharf bar and later shoreclub. good day. good night.

so today has been almost as event full. or yes it has been equally e.f. i think. since i missed the last bus yesterday by like half a minute i slept at sophies so i went home after eating a very good breakfast on her balcony overlooking a very exciting part of manly.

got home, made me some scrambled eggs. Oh btw. thought I was working today but when i called to dubble check i wasn't so i had a whole day to waste - decided to walk the coogee to bondi walk (been wanting to do that since i was here the last time, so it was about time i did something about it). it was really nice. def worth it.

went to visit antonio. made perfect hamburgers, ate them, went to the emergency room again with antonio since is foot was really swollen and blue. sat there for about 4 -5 hours to find out that he had a blood clot somewhere in his leg/knee/foot. he got some stuff for that and are going back there tomorrow.

sooo i walked home from his place and here i am. sitting in my bed writing this post. and now i'm gonna upload some pictures from my small adventures. there not very exciting but since some people are requesting some photos here they are:

it's gonna be a nice day here in sydney. 34 degrees. good for the people not working, not so fun for the people who are - me. so i'm sitting here waiting for Cj to transfer the rent money so i can pay rent!. and then i'm off to work. I usually walk home from work but since it's gonna get hot hot hot today i'm thinking - no. but we'll see. the way home is nice half the way, you walk over the bridge which is niiiiiiice, its after the brdige hell breaks out. the hill that comes after it. MY GOD! well i guess it's good for the health... not for your soul though.

well Cj just transfered the money so i'm gonna be a good girl and pay rent now.
